Strike up the band and join the chorus! For the seventh year in a row, Tempe Elementary Schools has been named a Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) by the NAMM Foundation. This national designation is given to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.

At Tempe Elementary Schools, history isn’t something stored away in dusty archives. It’s a living narrative that continues to evolve. Now, thanks to a dedicated effort led by longtime district employee and alumna Amy Garza, that story has come to life through the Hallway History installation at the Sanchez Administration Building.

Kid tested. Nutrition Services approved. That’s the goal of the Nutrition Services team when building school menus, and they’ve taken it to a whole new level with their first-ever Tempe Elementary Schools Food Show.

A Tribute from Dr. James Driscoll, Superintendent of Tempe Elementary School
Mrs. Geneva Epps Mosley believed that everybody is born with a talent, and when you find it, the sky’s the limit. Mrs. Mosley found her talent, and as a result became a transformational and beloved educator. For 50 years, Mrs. Mosley inspired thousands of Tempe Elementary students to find their talents and reach for their dreams.

From the textbook, to construction, to the skies, eighth graders at Mosley Middle School delved deeper into their learning during their recent project. Closing out their unit on propulsion and energy transfer, Mosley science teachers Dr. MJ Leyden and Natalie Kaiser wanted to provide students with a way to apply their knowledge. Enter the rocket project.
